A video of the dogs

Here is the cutest video of Jackson playing with Bear last Summer, not too long after we brought Bear home. He weighed only about 2 lbs, and Jackson weighed 80 lbs. Isn't Jack just the sweetest big brother there ever was?! Our dear big boy passed away in August at the age of 10, after suffering from a turned stomach. Before we knew what was going on, it was too late. We rushed him to the emergency vet clinic where they x-rayed him to confirm their worst fear. Bear had a very difficult time being without his big buddy, and I know sometimes he catches a scent on a toy and wonders what happened. Jack will always be remembered as our Gentle Giant. But all is not lost... as Timmy the 17-year old cat is learning quickly to either play with rambunctious Bear or tolerate his incessive antics. Timmy has decided playing chase around the furniture is not always a bad thing, and it passifies Bear for awhile. Sorry the video is not higher quality, it was taken with my cell phone.

What free time?

So, in my free time I would like to remember how to use my camera again, maybe spend time with family, get some exercise in. But right now I am in the throes of getting my Associates degree in Business and then on to my Bachelor degree in Business Administration. If my Dad was alive today, I would definitely give him permission to say "I told you so!" This school stuff is hard at my age, and yes, I should've done it a long time ago when pulling an all-nighter was not as difficult.

I will finish my Associates degree at the end of May 2010. I pray for the strength to continue on to obtain my Bachelor degree, but oh it will be so tempting to just rest.

Well, I'm taking a break from writing an assignment in my Business Information Systems class, so back to the books....

Sorry, Haven't Been Posting for Awhile...

Lots of life events have been happening! Tristan is now a year old, Bruce is in his last year of the wonderful 40's, Bear is now a redhead (who would've thought!), and in addition to staying employed full time I'm pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Business Admin. Life is good, and life is busy! Here are some updated photos, but none real recent of Bear. I'll take some in a few days and post again.

Our New Baby...

Meet Bear, our new fuzzy baby! He's a 7-week old 2-pound Pomeranian/Chihuahua (long-haired), all the way from the southeast corner of Washington. He's a delight to snap photos of, and loves the camera. I think he knows he's getting his photo taken! Jack loves to lick him, Timmy thinks he's a nuisance (hence, no photos of the cat and the pup together yet). Can't wait for Tristan to meet him!

Tris - 5 months

5 months old now, and wants to do everything you're doing - including eating big people food and drinking from a regular glass as you can see here. He gets to drink the water, but the big people food is just going to have to wait. 8)

I finally decided to post my "lights" assignment. Did anyone else catch the beautiful sunrise last week? Looked like fire!

So, our grandson was quite upset for some reason, and he was letting his daddy know. Only daddy could make it better this time. He sure is a cutie pie!
