A Birthday Celebration

My Mom's birthday was this weekend, and we celebrated with an early dinner. Here are some snaps of Great Grammy and our son Eric with our new grandson Tristan. I loved playing with Photoshop to dress up these ones! Took me awhile, but I learned some new things. I don't particularly care for the background I used for the photo with Eric and Tristan, and will probably go back in and erase some more around both of their heads. I was really wanting a black background, but there wasn't one to pick from in the background categories. More to learn!

Mad!

Our great nephew actually thinks he's smiling here for the camera. He has a beautiful smile, but when you tell him you're going to take his picture he says, "Cheese," and scrunches up his nose. He looks mad, but really he's not. However, his new little brother here is quite mad at being fussed with.

Fall Colors

Though Summer is my favorite season, I do enjoy the beautiful colors Fall gives us.

The last of the leaves on the dogwood tree, and the trees surrounding us everywhere. Every day of the year is God's canvas of beautiful pictures he has painted for us to enjoy.

Excitement at Useless Bay!

We had a great time at Useless Bay yesterday! Pat and I were snapping plenty of photos. These young men have their own skimboarding company called Jack'd Skimboards. They're locals of Whidbey Island, and we enjoyed taking photos of them doing their thing!

More Outing

I can't remember this little guy's name, but I know he's 19 weeks old and weighs 40-something pounds. In these photos, I snapped them in succession as he discovers he got a piece of grass in his mouth while playing with his chew toy and can't figure out how to get it out. Finally he decides he just doesn't want it in his mouth any longer and kind of gags it out. He went right back to chewing on his toy again! What a cutie!
