Silhouette

I'm not so sure this can really count as a silhouette, but I love this photo of Bruce using his headlamp to read a magazine when the electricity was out for several days this winter.

What I've Missed Posting So Far...

This is my Lines photo. This was taken on that same wild April evening with all the clouds in the sky. I liked how the lines of clouds looked through the lines of trees. Though I didn't edit this photo, I'm not sure why some of the smaller tree branches in the front of the photo look purple.

This photo is my "Art" photo. I would love to do an oil or acrylic painting of this photo. This was taken from the backyard on that wild April evening when we seemed to have every type and color of cloud in the sky all at once. Can you see the big bird flying across the sky on the right?

Spring Flowers. This is the first year we noticed there's a wild Dogwood tree growing in the gulley just beyond our backyard fence. I took this photo in the evening, and I liked the effect the dusk light gave the flowers. I did have to brighten the photo a tad bit.

Movement. How fast those little wings can go!

This photo is my interpretation of Leading. I saw our resident rabbit has returned, which means to me that he has lead us into Spring.

This one is my New Beginning photo. Our grandbaby is due in September, as you may tell that my daughter-in-law is pregnant in this photo. It represents new beginnings or first-timers for my oldest son and my daughter-in-law (first-time parents), my youngest son (first-time uncle), Bruce and me (first-time grandparents). This is my daughter-in-law Allie, pregnant with the "new beginning", and my son Chris who is holding our newest great nephew.

Green

One of my favorite colors, though I don't wear the color well. I love what Green means... new growth. So these dwarf daffs aren't green, but their stems are! I was so excited they bloomed this year, they only gave me stems last year. I used my new/old macro lens for the first time on this. I have a lot to get used to so I can maximize my photo taking.

End... of Winter

I love all the seasons for what they bring us, but I sure am glad when Spring comes! Here's my look at the end of Winter, the snow is starting to melt in the mountains near our home and the trees are green again. These photos were taken from Snoqualmie Parkway, as dusk began.

Emotion: Silly!

I call these two photos the "Who is this guy our daughter married?" and the "It must've been a good joke". I don't think my oldest son can ever be serious for too long, he makes ME laugh.

Christmas tree

The top photos are of my great nephew - he loves to have fun with his grampa (my brother), dance (which is what he's doing in the second photo) and have his picture taken. The next photo is a cute "ornament" in front of my brother and sis-in-law's tree. The lower photo is a close-up handheld of our tree. I turned off all the surrounding lamps in the room and just had the tree's Christmas lights on. A little blurry, but I think it's intimate.

Something Brown

This beautiful buck was very friendly and let me get pretty close before he cautiously walked away. Jones Island.

Night Time Photo

I love this photo I took of the moon one night. I have no idea how I got it, since the moon was eerily surrounded by clouds and that was the effect I was going for, but those photos turned out blurry. This was taken with my HP, and not my Nikon. The HP is totally automatic.

Ugh! The whole time I had my settings incorrect, so everything is blurry. But this was part of the dinner, mmmm.... yummy!

Up Close - What is it?

OK, the first one is a chocolate bar, the second one is the heel of a loaf of 12-grain bread, and the third is a Braeburn apple with a bite out of it (a couple hours old).
