Interaction

Emotion: Silly!

I call these two photos the "Who is this guy our daughter married?" and the "It must've been a good joke". I don't think my oldest son can ever be serious for too long, he makes ME laugh.

Christmas tree

The top photos are of my great nephew - he loves to have fun with his grampa (my brother), dance (which is what he's doing in the second photo) and have his picture taken. The next photo is a cute "ornament" in front of my brother and sis-in-law's tree. The lower photo is a close-up handheld of our tree. I turned off all the surrounding lamps in the room and just had the tree's Christmas lights on. A little blurry, but I think it's intimate.

Something Brown

This beautiful buck was very friendly and let me get pretty close before he cautiously walked away. Jones Island.

Night Time Photo

I love this photo I took of the moon one night. I have no idea how I got it, since the moon was eerily surrounded by clouds and that was the effect I was going for, but those photos turned out blurry. This was taken with my HP, and not my Nikon. The HP is totally automatic.

Thanksgiving 2006

Ugh! The whole time I had my settings incorrect, so everything is blurry. But this was part of the dinner, mmmm.... yummy!

Up Close - What is it?

OK, the first one is a chocolate bar, the second one is the heel of a loaf of 12-grain bread, and the third is a Braeburn apple with a bite out of it (a couple hours old).


Easy, I'm sure, but see if you can guess what these are.

Autumn

I'm thankful for Autumn, as it's a beautiful transition from Summer to Winter. These were taken at Baker Lake last weekend.

Belly Assignment

Not quite on my belly, but I was squatting pretty low to catch Henry crawling in the grass.

Another DOF photo

I know, GROSS! A BUG! But I love how this photo turned out. You can see the detail in its wings, and the joints in its legs. Freaky.

DOF Assignment

This photo of the dogwood tree in our backyard was taken a few months ago, with my HP digital camera before it died (the camera, that is). I'll have to try another DOF photo with the new camera.

A Black & White

I played with the Black & White setting. Fun!

Angles Assignment

I like this photo, but it's not the best because of the position of the figs. It makes the photo seem off balance with the size of the leaves.

I actually took 7 pictures of the figs on our tree, and thought this one was best. I shot it from underneath the tree. I like the clarity of the figs.

This is my posing subject in a chair. Actually, he got caught sleeping on the kitchen chair; something new for him. I liked the colors in this photo, but I'll try something else also.
